JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:  Territory Parts Manager

REPORTS TO:  Regional Manager

WORKS CLOSELY WITH:  Territory Service Manager, Location Parts Managers, Location Service Managers, Bulk Fluids Manager, VP of Aftermarket

POSITION SUMMARY:  Profitably grow parts sales within the territory providing guidance through development and execution of the business and marketing plan. Attract and develop exceptional talent. Ensure territory parts functions contribute to overall business strategy, goals and preeminent customer satisfaction.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES: 

  • Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational goals
  • Responsible for management of territory business activities, setting goals, development, and delivery of strategic objectives, and optimizing territory business opportunities to achieve sales targets, growth and market share
  • Leads the execution of Parts Department marketing plan and sales tactics, monitors regularly to ensure achievement of organizational goals
  • In conjunction with Director of Corporate Parts and the Corporate Parts Manager develop and communicate policies and processes to Location Parts Manager /Store Parts Sales Leads
  • Monitors parts sales monthly to ensure achievement of budgeted sales and profit goals
  • Collaborates with Territory Service and Territory Sales Managers to conduct field visits to build relationships with key accounts, selling equipment, parts and service while providing an outstanding customer experience
  • Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures in support of First Pass Fill goals and initiatives.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues
  • Responsible for coaching, staffing, recruiting and employee development activities

GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Competencies: 

Experience: 3+ years’ experience in managing Parts Department operations

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Periods of extensive sitting, standing and squatting are routinely required. Must be able to lift 40#
