Job Description

Purpose: Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.   May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Supervisor, Service Writer, or Senior Technicians. 


Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assembles and services all types of equipment, established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products, and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership
  2. Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership
  3. Performs basic and complex diagnostics independently, solves basic and complex technical issues.
  4. Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the set-up and delivery process
  5. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  6. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  7. Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
  8. Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties  
  9. Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  10. Uses own tools 
  11. Participation on on-call program
  12. Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion 
  13. Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments 
  14. Never operate any equipment you are not properly trained on and have not inspected prior to using: for example but not limited to vehicles, tractors, forklifts, mowers, drill press, grinder, hydraulic press, welders, and other general equipment.
  15. Follow all safety rules, policies, procedures, Job Safety Analysis for each job. These are found in Teams/General Channel/mybelkorpag/Safety.
  16. Report all unsafe findings you see to your Manager immediately or through Everyone Speaks anonymously on Teams/General Channel/Everyone Speaks.
  17. Report all injures, near misses, and accidents within the hour to your Manager, Supervisor, or Risk Supervisor.
  18. Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills: 

  1. 3 – 6 years experience (or equivalent) performing service repairs
  2. Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes
  3. Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions
  4. Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
  5. Ability to maintain labor performance and billable hours according to Service Leaders
  6. Sound knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership
  7. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
  8. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  9. Valid driver’s license required
  10. Forklift license preferred
  11. Basic Service Technician certificate required

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds
  2. Repetitive hand use up to 7 hours a day 
  3. Walking or standing up to 7 hours a day 
  4. Sitting up to 4 hours a day
  5. Squatting/kneeling up to 3 hours a day
  6. Computer/keyboard work up to 2 hours in a day
